Swensen's launches Golden Basket sundae range in India

Ice cream retail chain Swensen's, which is owned by US-based Minor Food Group, has launched Golden Basket range of sundaes in India. The new product is available in three flavours - Nutty Banana, Fruity Delight and Oreo Brownie.

According to the company, Nutty Banana is a crispy waffle basket served with banana and caramel sauce topped with almond and pecan praline, while Fruity Delight is a crispy waffle basket served with tropical fruits and topped with strawberry and rainbow topping.

Oreo Brownie is a crispy waffle basket, combining chucky brownies, Oreo cookies and banana topped with almond and chocolate, Fnbnews.com reported.

The Golden Basket range of sundaes is priced at Rs140 ($2.66) and available across Swensen's outlets.

In 2003, the Minor Food Group was awarded license to develop and franchise Swensen's brand in 34 countries across the Middle-East and Asia. It entered India in 2010.
