Thrifty Ice Cream introduces six new flavors

FBR Staff Writer Published 22 February 2012

Thrifty Ice Cream has launched six new flavors including two Greek-style nonfat frozen yogurts at Rite Aid stores in California, US.

The two Greek-style frozen yogurt flavors include Blueberry Cheesecake and Chocolate Lovers. According to the company, they are characterized by higher protein content, lower levels of lactose and live probiotic cultures that can help aid digestion.

In addition to the Greek-style yogurt flavors, the company has introduced four new ice cream flavors -- Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Red Velvet, Mint 'n Chip and Pistachio Nut.

All the six are available in take-home pint containers at nearly all California Rite Aid stores for $2.29 each. The company is also planning to launch a new Greek-style flavor - strawberry.

Rite Aid is one of the leading drugstore chains in the US with approximately 4,700 stores in 31 states and the District of Columbia.
