Unilever completes acquisition of Ingman Ice Cream
British-Dutch consumer goods group Unilever has completed the acquisition of Ingman Ice Cream, a leading manufacturer of ice cream in Finland.
The acquisition is expected to strengthen Unilever's competitive position in ice cream and complement its existing portfolio of brands like Magnum, Cornetto and Carte d´Or.
Ingman Ice Cream will continue its operations as before and under the leadership of Peter Ingman, the current managing director of the company.
Unilever Nordic chairman Henri de Sauvage said that Ingman Ice Cream brings a strong portfolio of locally produced iconic brands and a wide range of non-dairy, soy based and lactose free products which will have a perfect fit with Unilever as well as adding a unique local dimension to Unilever.
